Old Shoes

I had these shoes that I found on the clearance shelf. the box was dusty, as it was sitting there for a..long time.

they were pewter saddle shoes. Rubber soles, grey laces unique style. these shoes became my confidence. my safety net. They started conversations, and became instant ice breakers. These footwear became my adventure shoes. I wore them going to new places. Hiking, spelunking, and dancing, I wore these shoes jumping out of a plane.

I wore these shoes so much I wore out the toes....and I still wore them.
